Batik is the traditional heritage fabric of Indonesia. It's hand-made by either drawing dots or lines with a wax with a tool called tjanting or blocked stamped with copper tjap. It then gets soaked with colours, leaving the waxed section neutral and washed with boiling water to remove the wax. The process of dyeing and washing is repeated.
